Returning to you Bipolar essay, in reading it I was quite saddened to learn that you had considered taking your own life. Having been there myself — frequently — I know how hard, and how exhausting, that impulse is to fight off. It’s no fun, to say the least, to awaken each morning with the thought, “What would be a good way of killing myself?”

If you ever reach that point again — and I pray you do not — please DON’T end your life. In reading your eloquent writings and posts, and in marveling at the photos of your magnificent weaving work, I think you are FAR too valuable a human being to depart this world more than a half-century before your time. So if you do reach that awful point again, please dial 911 immediately and get help.

I liked the earlier experiment too - reminded me of aurora borealis (not that I’ve seen that in person).

Beautiful draft, and I look forward to seeing it woven some day. Thanks for the nice comments on The Woven Pixel. I just want to remind everyone that Bhakti Ziek and I wrote the book together, and all credit goes to her as well. She is a genius for structure, as well as an extraordinary artist and teacher.

I love the last one. I think it would be a wonderful accent on an otherwise plain coat or jacket—the lapel for example? Or a panel down the back (or front)? Cuffs? Or, if you really want to get intense, weave the coat in pretty much a plain twill but weave a silk lining in this pattern………..
